Description
PT0 M-series frying bin for fattening pigs and piglets
A pig frying bowl is a feeding trough for pigs in which dry feed is dispensed into the trough by the pig itself via a valve mechanism. The pig can then mix the dry feed with water to make a porridge, using the drinking nipple fitted to the frying bowl.
In the early 1980s, Bert PT1 Kel, a former pig farmer and founder of PT1 , invented the pork frying box. This has since been further developed into the current M-series pork bowl. This makes the M-series frying bins for fattening pigs and piglets the only genuine original pig frying bins.
Advantages of the PT0 M-series mixers
The PT0 M-series feeding tray for fattening pigs and piglets is suitable for feed in the form of crumbs, grain and flour. This pig feeding bowl is fitted with a unique dosing mechanism featuring a Stainless steel drinking nipple. Thanks to the pig’s natural feeding movements, the feeding system mixes feed and water in the correct proportions, ensuring optimal feed conversion and cost savings. The optimal dose of pig feed is 4 grams per valve movement.
Robust design and installation
A pig feed tank must be securely mounted at the rear and firmly placed on the ground with mounting brackets. Preferably in a corner of the pigsty. The double pig feed trough versions are available in side-by-side and back-to-back models, allowing larger groups of pigs to be fed. The light inside the PT1 pig fry containers ensures better feed intake and easy hygiene management.
Miscellaneous models and uses
The M19100 pig mashers are suitable for pellet, grain and crumb feed, whilst the MU19100 pig mashers are suitable for flour feed. The recommended number of pigs per feeding bin is slightly higher than for a pig drying tray, as pigs spend less time eating thanks to the availability of water. This reduces feeding time by 17 per cent and cuts the number of feeding sessions by 39 per cent (source: ILVO/pig window.be).
Guarantee and recognition
Off independent research The Agricultural Research Institute Hillsborough (b. 01) shows that the best feed conversion is achieved by pigs using the PT1 feeder. These conversion rates were significantly better than those achieved with any other pig feed trough.

The PT0 pig pots come with a 7-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing faults in the drinking nipples. Drinking nipples are only suitable for water, not for additives.
