Dry food better with the PT0 Drowaco

Pigs that get their dry food separately from the water turn on less bacon. That's the experience of Toon and Erica Vos-van de Langenberg. In two stables, in fact, only the feeding system differs. One stable has a Dromaco, which has two eating places in between a well shielded drinking place. In the other stable there are valves where food and water come into contact with each other. In the meat pigs that grow up on the Drowaco, the fat is always lower than in the meat pigs on the valve bowl. There are no or few differences in the results. Theoretically the feed conversion of the pigs that eat from the Dromaco should therefore be better. In the current round, a test is conducted in which they monitor the feed consumption precisely to find out whether this is the case in practice.
