The VERBA FA piglet feeder is fitted with a heavy-duty stainless steel tray from which the piglets can take their feed and, if required, mix it with water at the bottom to make a slurry themselves. The FA feeders are suitable for both small and large groups of pigs. The type of feed is irrelevant for the FA; all the feed types listed below can be fed without any problems.

The innovative VERBA FA piglet feeder is fitted with a sturdy RVS tray. This gives the piglets easy access to their feed. Thanks to the unique design, the piglets can reach the feed on the tray using their snouts or ears. They can then mix the feed in the trough with water from the drinking teat, resulting in an easy-to-eat purée.

This is why the FA piglet feeder is exceptionally robust, making it ideal for a variety of housing environments. These piglet tray feeders are widely used in organic pigsties and pigsties with outdoor runs. The robust design ensures a long service life for the piglet feeder, even under harsh conditions.

Variety of feed types

When it comes to feed types, the FA piglet feeder is versatile and can effortlessly handle a variety of pig feeds. Thanks to the easily accessible VERBA drinking nipples, which ideally have a water flow rate of 0.5 litres per minute, an optimal feed-to-water ratio is guaranteed. This results in efficient feed conversion (FCR) for the pig and significant cost savings. The versatility of the piglet feeder makes it an excellent choice for pig farmers who wish to use different types of pig feed.

Easy installation and efficiency

For optimum performance, it is recommended that the VERBA FA piglet feeder be fixed in the corner for small groups of piglets. For larger groups of piglets, the FA piglet feeders can be connected in series. This means that only one water riser is required, which simplifies installation and increases efficiency. This modular system offers flexibility and makes it easy to adapt the piglet feeders to the specific requirements of each piglet pen.
