Speedfeeder

The Speedfeeder is a bowl for larger groups of pigs. The feed is dosed via a unique dosing mechanism made entirely of stainless steel 304 and in which the piglets or pig meat pushes unnoticed against a valve during feeding. Due to the unique operation of the valve and the stainless steel rod for the valve, the feed valve cannot be lubricated with feed, which is sometimes a problem with other burrs. The stainless steel valve provides small portions of feed.

Description

Optimal pig feed: the PT1 speedfeeder for pig meat and piglets

As a former pig farmer, we understand the important aspects of an optimal pig feed system. That is why we have brought together the positive points of various pig feeding systems in a single pig feed bowl for meat pigs and piglets. Pork farmers worldwide use the PT1 speedfeeder.

Benefits and applications

The speed feeder, a pig feed bowl with a valve system, is suitable for larger groups of pigs. This pig food box works particularly well with graver feed such as pellet food, grain feed or crumb food. The unique feed dosing mechanism, made entirely of stainless steel 304, ensures that during eating the piglets or meat pigs push against the valve unnoticed, which provides small portions of feed. This prevents the feed valve from being lubricated, a problem that can occur with other burrs.

Anti-mors design and feed conversion

At the front of the stainless steel trough is a smart anti-mors edge and on the side are anti-mors bars welded. This design minimizes feed spill and contributes to an optimal feed conversion, which is cost-effective. Moreover, the white, transparent pig feed bowl makes it easy to check the feed quantity during your round. One pig feed box has two separate dosing systems, allowing two pig pens to be fed separately.

Installation and adjustment

You can easily install this pork bowl in plastic or concrete partitions thanks to the various available stainless steel u-profiles. The feed adjustment is done accurately with a spindle, which is not out of position. As a result, the valve always doses the correct amount of pig food. The best dose is 4 grams per valve movement. Because the valve does not adjust when pushed hard against it, this prevents feed spilling and saves you costs.

Integrated water supply system and installation

This PT1 Speedfeeder pig feed tank contains a 1/2′′ stainless steel water pipe with only one stand, containing four stainless steel PT1 drinking nipples are connected. This water system provides low connection costs. The Speedfeeder Pig Feeder comes standard with a lid. This pig bowl is mounted in our factory with stainless steel a2 bolts m8 with bolt nuts. Always keep the Speedfeeder filled so that pigs have unlimited access to feed and are not rationed.

35 cm eat width

In the production of new Speedfeeder 80 feed boxes for meat pigs we can switch from 2 x 3 to 2 x 2 eating compartments. This ensures an effective internal eating width of more than 35 cm per eating compartment. This adaptation meets various standards and welfare requirements, such as the Better Life 1 Star standard that will enter into force in the Netherlands from 2030 onwards. With this adjustment, we not only offer more room for the pigs during dinner, but also ensure that new pigs feed troughs meet the strictest welfare standards.
