Advantages and applications
The speed feeder, a pig feeder with a clapper system, is suitable for larger groups of pigs. This pig feeder works particularly well with coarser feed such as pellet feed, pellet feed or crumb feed. The unique feed dispensing mechanism, made entirely of 304 stainless steel, ensures that during feeding, piglets or fattening pigs push against the clapper unnoticed, dispensing small portions of feed. This prevents the feed valve from clogging, a problem that can occur with other liquid feeder.
Anti-spill design and feed conversion
At the front of the stainless steel trough is a smart anti spillage edge and anti spillage bars are welded to the side. This design minimizes feed spillage and contributes to optimal feed conversion, which is cost-saving. In addition, the white, transparent pig feeder makes it easy to check feed quantity during your round. One pig feeder has two separate dispensing systems, allowing two pig pens to be fed separately.
Installation and adjustment
You can easily build this pig feeder into plastic or concrete partitions thanks to the various stainless steel u-profiles available. The feed adjustment is done accurately with a spindle, which does not get out of position. As a result, the valve always doses the correct amount of pig feed. The best dosage is 4 grams per movement of the valve. Because the valve does not adjust itself when pushed hard against it, it prevents feed spillage and saves costs.
Integrated water supply system and mounting
This Verba Speedfeeder pig feeder includes a 1/2″ stainless steel water line with single one down pipe, to which four stainless steel Verba drinking nipples are connected. This water system ensures low connection costs. The Speedfeeder pig feeder comes standard with a lid. This pig feeder is assembled in our factory with stainless steel a2 bolts m8 with lock nuts. Always keep the Speedfeeder filled so the pigs have unlimited access to feed and are not rationed.
